2013 major accident investigation report
The 2013 report continues a unique series of longitudinal studies involving the tracking of a workforce of Australian heavy vehicle drivers involved in accidents, since 1998. The research focuses on primary data reviewing major heavy truck crashes managed by NTI with an aggregate cost greater than A$50,000. This report investigates major losses in 2011 and follows quantitative studies completed on major truck crash incidents reported during 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009. For the duration of the 2011 period, 461 major incidents were reported at a cost of A$54.7M.
