Time Equals Money: Developing a profitable shipping system using the Northern Sea Route
This article discusses the advantages of using the Northern Sea Route to shorten ship transportation time between the North Pacific and the North Atlantic. One potential benefit is the speeding up of resource development in the Arctic region. The Northern sea trade route is still in the process of being developed as an effective commercial route choice, but it has already started to be a viable alternative. High commodity prices result in higher costs and more profitable investments, despite a rugged environment in the Arctic region.
