First Year Interim Report on Field Performance Evaluation and Laboratory Test Results on Plowable Raised Pavement Markers--2000 Ohio Test Deck
This report, part of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials’ National Transportation Product Evaluation Program, provides interim results from a two-year field test and laboratory examination of plowable raised pavement markers (RPMs). The RPMs were installed in a section of interstate in Columbus, Ohio. Fifty markers were installed on Portland cement concrete pavement and 50 were installed on asphalt concrete pavement. A 0-5 rating scale was used to evaluated housing condition, lens, and night visibility. Retroreflectivity was also measured. Results from laboratory tests on the coefficient of luminous intensity are also reported.
