Construction and Solution of Siting Model of Distribution Centers Based on Genetic Algorithm
Siting is crucial for planning of distribution centers. Three factors affecting the siting of distribution center, including goods collection cost, transportation cost, and operating cost of distribution center are enumerated in this paper. Siting model is built from the perspective of minimizing the total cost. Limiting factors along with applicability of the model are discussed, and solutions are probed into as well by means of genetic algorithm.
