Statistical Analysis of Passenger Flow Characteristics at Shanghai Pudong International Airport
The landside transportation system of an airport terminal is important for both passengers and the airport as it influence passengers' overall airport experiences and level of service of air transportation. This paper focuses on landside passenger characteristics and factors that influence the quality of passenger's experiences. Data collection occurred through questionnaire methods of 1010 passengers' at Shanghai Pudong international departure terminals. The findings provide an understanding of main composition and features of landside passenger flow. This new knowledge will assist in improving passenger airport experiences by improving the landside transportation system.
