Applied Research on Strontium Slag Concrete Pavement in Low Traffic Volume Roads
Plenty of waste residue was produced in the process of strontium carbonate refining, which occupies land and affects the environment severely. With some activity, strontium slag can be used to build road pavement. In this paper, the physical characteristics of strontium slag were analyzed first. Then a reasonable mix proportion of strontium slag cement concrete for low traffic volume road pavement was achieved. Finally, the strength and elastic modulus of the strontium slag cement concrete specimen were tested. Test road of strontium slag cement concrete pavement was build at rural area in Chongqing, China. Long-term performance observation of test road has proved that strontium slag cement concrete pavement can be used widely in low traffic volume road.
