Routing Algorithm of Wireless Sensor Networks in Railway Disaster Monitoring System

To improve the security of high-speed railway, the authors need to increase the monitoring efforts of the railway operating environment. Wireless sensor networks (WSN) have good flexibility and full scalability in the surveillance and are very suitable for use in the Railway Disaster Prevention Monitoring System to monitor the real-time conditions of the high-speed railway operating environment. However, the Wireless Sensor Network consists of a collection of mobile nodes equipped with energy-limited batteries. The power of the sensor nodes is the major bottleneck for railway disaster prevention and the monitoring system based on wireless sensor networks. Therefore, the energy-saving of sensor nodes and the energy balanced consumption in the monitoring system is very important. Different from the energy-saving features of existing sensor network routing algorithms, this paper proposed a new sensor network clustering routing protocol combining with quantum-behaved particle swarm optimization (Wireless Sensor Network Protocol based on Quantum-Behaved Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), WPQP), which is more suitable for the railway disaster prevention field. Finally, WPQP is modeled and simulated with MATLAB, its performance is compared with the network using PSO and FPSO, and the great availability of WPQP in railway disaster monitoring is proved.
