Traffic Safety Evaluation Model of Road Tunnels Based on VISSIM
In this paper, the rate of road tunnel accidents, which is largely relevant to some traffic indexes, is represented by the "speed variation" (the standard deviation of speed). Then the studies try to model the relationship between the speed variation and some other selected traffic parameters related to road tunnel traffic safety, such as the traffic volume and traffic composition influences. The road tunnel model and the data deprive from VISSIM software. After establishing a most common road tunnel as a base model, one parameter is varied in a reasonable step and range by keeping the rest index still, and then the equation is regressed between the speed variation and this parameter and by this analogy. Finally, by integrating all factors, the road long tunnel security model is constructed.
