Data Acquisition and Analysis of Individual Travel Based on GPS
This paper analyzed the characteristics of individual travel based on global positioning system (GPS) data. Due to the lack of traditional traffic information collection methods, this paper used GPS to collect individual travel information. On the basis of GPS positioning principle, this paper established a GPS positioning model. Combined with the model, it analyzed travel characteristics for one individual and multiple individuals within a day. This paper researched travel radius of an individual within a day and studied the moving or static state changing by time. Studying people travel behavior may provide references for urban traffic planning.
