Passenger Safety Analysis of Hybrid Highways in Mountain Areas and Rural Coach Choice
Passenger safety problems in hybrid highways increases in mountain areas. With an empirical investigation on passenger transport routes in Shangluo in Qinling Mountain, the analysis of the influential factors of passenger safety shows that the vehicle technical condition, as an influential factor, is second only to highway condition and driver factors. The research found that speed limit, braking, monitoring, and emergency passage are the main factors influencing passenger safety in mountain hybrid highway. To provide safe and convenient travel conditions for mountain passengers, both passenger safety and transport capacity should be considered when the choice of vehicle model is made.
