NOW: GROUT FILLED TIMBER PILES
The St. Louis-San Francisco has developed a new method for obtaining extended life from timber piling having internal decay. Six months after the defective piles have been treated internally by the Osmose process, the railroad injects cement grout under pressure to fill the voids. Work procedure is described.
