ORGANIZATION AND TECHNIQUES FOR MOVING HEAVY RAILWAY BRIDGES

The problems of moving large railroad bridges from the construction positions alongside the track to final positions in the track are discussed, with particular reference to programming and to development of sliding equipment. Difficulties experienced in particular operations are outlined.
