The Shield Tunnel Obliquely Crossing over an Existing Pipeline: A Numerical Analysis
In engineering practice, the situations of shield tunnel across the pipelines will often be encountered. Previous research work has always focused on the effect of various parameters of shield tunnel vertically or parallel across the pipeline. Meanwhile, there is a lack of information considering the influence of various parameters on the shield tunnel passing through the pipeline with an angle. The numerical study based on the Hangzhou metro project was carried out that investigated the effect of angle between tunnel and pipeline and different construction conditions on the pipeline. The reasonable angle and construction conditions were achieved and expected to be helpful for designers and constructors in future projects.
