Fuzzy Optimization about Container Shipping on Sea-Bound
The authors use fuzzy program to research container shipping on sea-bound in the paper. In the model, the objective function is to maximize the profit of container shipping. The total profit is equal to the profit from the heavy container shipping subtracting the empty/heavy container shipping cost. The constraints of the model include meeting the need of both heavy and empty containers. The requirements of empty/heavy containers are fuzzy because they are uncertain for being affected by all kinds of factors and there is usually no statistic rule in them. The limits to volume and weight for a line are included in the constraint of the model. The authors transfer the fuzzy programming model to a liner programming ones, and then they adopt Lingo 9.0 to solve the model. They provide an effective model to a shipping company by use of the model in the paper.
