Evaluation Indicators of Urban Traffic Control System
This paper has analyzed influencing factors of urban traffic control system (UTC) and developed a complete indicator system for UTC evaluation. The indicators can be classified into two groups which are performance evaluation measures and function evaluation indicators. The calculation method for each performance indicator is developed in the paper. Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) is used in function evaluation. At last, SCATS (Sydney Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System), that is an adaptive traffic signal control system, is evaluated using the function evaluation indicators and the FAHP method.
