LIGHT WHEEL SET FOR INCREASED TRAIN SPEED IN THE WHEEL-RAIL SYSTEM

Based on theoretical investigations and model experiments a special bonding technique was developed and experimental wheel sets were built. The new wheel set was equipped with wheel bodies of light-weight materials or laminated, thin sheet metal.
