DESIGN OF THE AXLE JOURNALS FOR ROLLER BEARINGS OF THE WHEEL SETS AND SELECTION OF THE ROLLER AXLE BEARINGS
DIE GESTALTUNG DES ACHSSCHENKELS VON ROLLENLAGER-RAD-SAETZEN UND DIE AUSWAHL DER ROLLENACHSLAGER
It is shown that the roller axle bearings and their axle journals should be designed for minimum stresses and strains in the axles and axle journals. For axle bearings with short axle journals this can be realized by providing relief faces at the ends of press fits as well as by positive axial location of the axle bearings on the axles.
