AUTOMATED PRESSING ON MONOBLOC WHEELS AND THE CONTROL TECHNIQUES INVOLVED
The high standard of safety demanded of a wheel set combined with competitive cost of production requires very close limits to be adhered to, to enable mass produced parts to be assembled under automated conditions and achieve outputs within the cost orbit sought. Cold pressing-on standard practice at Dunes factory but shrunk-on assemblies may be expected to gain favour.
