A Decentralized Broadcast of Traffic Flow Information by V2V Communication Network
In this paper, the authors introduce the activity of deploying a system which provides drivers with information about traffic flow. Every vehicle equipped with this system provides traffic flow information about areas it has passed, and exchanges this information with other vehicles using Vehicle-to-Vehicle communication (V2V). Using V2V, the information can be multi-hopped and distributed to a wide area without communication infrastructure. The authors propose a method of generating and retransmitting traffic flow information, and show results of simulation.
