BRT Brings Cleveland Back to Health
This article describes Cleveland’s Health Line bus rapid transit (BRT) corridor, which is one of the highest quality BRT corridors in the United States. The BRT corridor also is having a profound impact on land development, leveraging $5.1 billion in new real estate investment. Cleveland’s BRT corridor is part of a successful integration of the city’s transportation and urban development policy to encourage transit-oriented development. The new complete streets with BRT and bike lanes are drawing more businesses and real estate development into the downtown area.
