New Trends in Automated Fare Collection from Bucharest
The Automated Fare Collection implemented in Bucharest with the city public transport operators, RATB (ground transport operator) and Metrorex (underground transport operator) started to be used for traveller hybrid cards which combines Mastercard/VISA credit functionality with transport card functionality on Mifare partition, and NFC mobile phones for inspectors. The Bucharest Transport Metropolitan Authority introduced new transportation products for tariff integration among transport operators in the Bucharest metropolitan area.
