USE OF POLYMERIC ADDITIVES FOR REDUCING HYDRAULIC RESISTANCE IN PIPES
The results are presented of an experimental study of the reduction in hydraulic resistances in pipes by polymeric additives over a wide range of dimensions of pipes, flow velocities and pipe-wall roughness in pump-equipped facilities and in those where pumps are not used. The principal regularities are presented of the reduction in resistance in the polymeric compounds under study.
