APPLICATION OF THE HUBER-MISES-BOTKIN CRITERION TO POWDERY MEDIA /IN RUSSIAN/
AFTER RECALLING THE MOHR AND MISES-BOTKIN STABILITY CONDITIONS, THE AUTHOR DERIVES A RELATION BETWEEN THE CONSTANTS OF THE STRESS TENSOR CORRESPONDING TO THESE TWO CONDITIONS. A STUDY IS MADE OF THE INFLUENCE OF THE LODE PARAMETER ON STRENGTH AND A RELATION IS ESTABLISHED BETWEEN THE ANGLE OF INTERNAL FRICTION IN TRIAXIAL COMPRESSION AND ANY VALUE OF THE LODE PARAMETER. RESULTS ARE GIVEN OF TESTS ON SAND; THESE RESULTS DIFFER FROM THE RELATIONS DERIVED FROM THE MISES-BOTKIN CONDITION. THE AUTHOR CONCLUDES THAT IN THE CASE OF SANDY SOIL, THE MISES-BOTKIN STRENGTH CRITERION MUST NOT BE USED. /TRRL/
