Rescheduling algorithm using operational patterns for rolling stock operation at train depots
This paper describes use of an algorithm to aid in scheduling and rescheduling train operations and train maintenance. It specifically focuses on rolling stock management during disruptions. Numerical experiments are conducted using real data at two railroad train stations in Japan. The algorithms used to help in scheduling seemed quite feasible and useful for real time scheduling purposes.
