Introduction of a New XML-Based ITS-Protocol for the Swedish Road Administration

This paper introduces a new XML-based intelligent transportation systems (ITS)-protocol for road-side ITS installations of the Swedish Road Administration (SRA). The Road Side Message Protocol (RSMP) enables standardized means of communication between systems on the local level and regional level regardless of vendor or technical area.
