USE OF SAND FOR IMPROVING TRACTIVE STOCK ADHESION
In the general remarks, it is stated that the adhesion coefficient closely depends on essentially variable parameters, and the sanding is the most effective method of obtaining a high adhesion coefficient. The article then explains the different problems involved when using this method and gives details of the solutions adopted after tests to make the method the most efficient, without interfering with transport safety.
