Law on Working Time, Mobile Workers and in Road Transport Work Scheme - Application in Passenger Transport Enterprises in Croatia
Zakon o radnom vremenu, obveznim odmorima mobilnih radnika i uredajima za biljezenje u cestovnom prijevozu – primjena u hrvatskim putnickim prijevoznim poduzecima
This paper explains in simple form the basic points that the Chief dispatcher must consider when making the working schedule to comply with legislation. When creating the work schedule they must be careful to provide sufficient daily rest periods for each driver, to properly allocate weekly rests and insure that they include at least 24 hours (shortened weekly rest), to schedule breaks between periods of driving so that they comply with the law, take care that driving time between two consecutive weeks is no longer than 90 hours, depending on the driving time and the resting time assigning a sufficient number of drivers per vehicle so that driving would be in accordance with the legislation. There is a model of calculating the required number of drivers for transportation of passengers that complies with the law. The problems that arise when creating and realizing the working schedule are also provided.
