The impact of international shipping on European air quality and climate forcing
Emissions from water transportation have a significant impact on climate change and air pollution, since marine transportation is not highly regulated, and it depends greatly on fossil fuel combustion. The primary goal of this report is to present a knowledgeable review of current literature about water transportation and its environmental impacts. The report focuses specifically on impacts on climate forcing and air quality in Europe.
