BOUNDARY SHEAR DISTRIBUTION IN CHANNELS WITH VARYING WALL ROUGHNESS
The distribution of boundary shear around the wetted perimeter in the case of a channel with varying wall roughness is presented. The integrated mean shear values were compared with those estimated from the energy gradient and directly measured drag. The applicability of the side wall correction technique after J.W. Johnson and the hydraulic sub-division of flow after J.B. Leighly were investigated.
