WELDING DISTORTION
Discussion of distortion, which is a general term used in welding technique to describe the various movements and shrinkages that take place in a section when heat is applied. The different types of distortion are characterized, and the problems of distortion control, distortion effects on various forms of construction, and distortion correction are examined. Finally, measures for avoiding distortion are considered.
