SHIPBUILDING TECHNIQUES RESEARCH SYSTEM IN JAPAN
This report outlines the activities of shipbuilding research in Japan. The types of research organizations contributing to shipbuilding techniques are documented. The good and bad features of each are carefully discussed. Recommendations are made to improve techniques and coordination toward common goals. The role of the government and the shipbuilding industry in setting objectives and providing financial support is documented and discussed.
