PREVENTION OF DISCHARGED OIL IN THE SEA
Discussion of the major problem of sea pollution by oil spills which shows a continuously increasing tendency. The current status of development and practical application of available protective measures, such as skimmers, absorbent materials, emulsifying dispersants, and burning techniques, are discussed.
