EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF A TURBULENT FLOW OF AQUEOUS POLYMER SOLUTIONS IN A TUBE
EKSPERIMENTAL'NOE ISSLEDOVANIE TURBULENTNOGO TECHNIYA VODNYKH RASTVOROV POLIMEROV V TRUBE
A description of the experimental installation which allows short time estimation of the hydrodynamic drag coefficients of pipeguides is given. The investigations carried out with the use of the installation described showed that for aqueous solutions of polyacrylamide in the region of small concentrations the effect of drag reduction increases and achieves its maximum at some optimum concentration.
