APPROXIMATE CALCULATION OF TURBULENT BOUNDARY LAYERS WITH ARBITRARY ADVERSE PRESSURE GRADIENT
An empirical equation called the auxiliary equation which is necessary to calculate turbulent boundary layers under adverse pressure gradient is deduced from the relation between a general turbulent boundary layer and the equilibrium flow. Method of calculation of the turbulent boundary layer is developed using this auxiliary equation together with the momentum integral equation and the skin friction formula.
