TURBULENCE CHARACTERISTICS IN FREE SURFACE

Turbulence measurements in water flowing in an open channel, reanalysis of similar measurements of other investigators, and comparisons with results of related previous work revealed general information regarding the effect of boundary resistance and roughness on turbulence intensities.
