That's the breaks
Challenging mountainous terrain make construction on the new Route 460 Connector project in Breaks, VA (at the Kentucky-Virginia state line) difficult, as this article discusses. The ways in which the design-build team is overcoming challenges on this twin segmental bridge project are presented, including designing the foundation and superstructure at this remote location.
