SEA-LAND'S SL-7S
The Sea-Land McLean and the Sea-Land Galloway, two new 33 knot containerships that were built for Sea-Land Service's trans North Atlantic operation are described in full. The description includes information concerning the evolution of the design of these vessels over a ten year period, the development of a containership construction center to promote coordination between the four construction shipyards that were employed, and information on container stowage aboard these vessels, stacking frames that are employed, the propulsion machinery, and the boilers.
