GENERAL ELECTRIC'S HEAVY DUTY GAS TURBINE/ELECTRIC PROPULSION SYSTEM
A deck-mounted gas turbine/electric propulsion system has been developed for use aboard a series of products tankers, and it is hoped that through the use of this system, crew sizes will be able to be reduced to 13 men, while maintaining a high degree of safety and efficiency.
