Wireless In-Vehicle Compliant Black Box: For Accident Analysis
A novel accident analysis system is proposed in this paper to determine the main human factors involved in traffic accidents. A highly realistic truck simulator with a group of professional drivers was used to carry out several tests of the systems. A novel database that was carefully analyzed by a group of traffic safety experts was generated by using the data collected with the system during the moments before traffic accidents. The reliability of the developed system as a tool for the identification of the main cause of traffic accidents is shown by the validation process.
