A CORRUGATED ALUMINUM ALLOY LNG CARGO TANK DESIGN
The thermal contraction that takes place in a LNG tank is a main difficulty that must be overcome when the tank is designed. A new tank design has been developed that effectively deals with this thermal shrinkage in one direction. The design, which uses corrugated or trough sections that are joined together to make up the tank, is outlined and explained thoroughly with diagrams included.
