CAVITATION CORROSION AND ITS PREVENTION BY INHIBITORS AND CATHODIC PROTECTION
The theories of cavitation damage are briefly outlined, and the application of electrochemical techniques with special reference to corrosion inhibition, cathodic protection and combination, for the prevention of damage, are discussed in detail. It is concluded, on the basis of experimental work, that the electrochemical mechanism plays a major role in cavitation damage.
