IMPROVING THE RELIABILITY OF DIESEL ENGINES
A discussion of a system for increasing the reliability of diesel engines is presented. The background of this system of planned maintenance is discussed, including difficulties that would be encountered in the normal operation of the system, such as measurement of required values and their subsequent interpretation, and the advantages of such a system, such as increased vessel availability and increased engine reliability.
