179 YEARS IN SEA WATER?

A new method of protecting in-place pier pilings from seawater corrosion has been developed and patented, and is now in limited use. This method, utilizing polyvinyl chloride wrappers, has been very successful on tested pilings. The PVC wrappers are inexpensive and readily available, and test results indicate a minimum service life of at least 25 years, with little or no maintainance.
