Seat belt fitting and wearing in Australia
Seat belts have had a major influence on the safety of vehicle occupants in Australia over the last five years. This paper reviews developments to date with particular reference to the upgrading of the Australian design rules relating to seat belts and their anchorages. Information on seat belt fitting and wearing rates is presented. A number of problems are discussed and areas for further research identified. (A)
