Guide to the selection of pavement materials - part 5: quality description and assurance (draft)
This part is one of a series offering guidance in the selection of materials for use in pavement construction. For this reason the discussion of quality description and assurance is restricted to an explanation of how the selected material can be described and how to design an inspection plan to give the desired degree of confidence that the selected material is in fact typical of that used in the road. The relationship between producer and consumer together with the methods available for specification enforcement, are not discussed (a).
