A case history of a Victorian quarry
The geology of two quarries mining hornfels adjacent to granite intrusions is briefly described. Investigation for a quarry took place over a 12 year period during which changes in specification requirements for aggregates were introduced. The effect of these changes and the history of permit applications for the quarry are outlined.
