Creep results of ARRB project 237 to 1-1-78
This report documents creep results obtained on project 327 up to the end of 1977. The project itself relates to the creep and shrinkage of Western Australian concretes. The report outlines the experimental design of the creep tests which included creep rigs and control cylinders for shrinkage. Mix type, stress ratio, temperature, humidity and age of loading were each varied. Seven creep rigs were established, each containing four cylinders and associated with two control specimens. At this preliminary stage the results indicated that the three key variables appear to be elastic modulus and the creep coefficients (NAASRA) kc and kd. All but one specimen were showing less creep than expected.
