Metropolitan Adelaide data base study; phase 3 report: travel model preparation
The objectives of the study are broadly as follows: the collection and assembly of up to date data sets describing current travel characteristics within metropolitan Adelaide; the development of a range of analytical models and procedures to enable the quantitative aspects of future transport planning for Adelaide to be undertaken on a sound basis. Phase 3 of the study has comprised the preparation of models of travel demand. The functional forms of model have been specified, their coefficients estimated by appropriate statistical and/or empirical techniques, and any necessary calibration parameters have been deduced. Computer programs for model implementation have been developed, and appropriate operational procedures for model application have been devised and tested.
