Combination of stochastic loads

Two simple models are described for assessing the load combination effects of stochastic loads. One is based on the poisson square wave model and the other on a gaussian process model. The latter leads to a closed form solution for peak load combination effects. Some numerical solutions are given so as to provide an idea of the magnitude of the load combination factor that may be appropriate for real design situations (a).
