FATIGUE CHARACTERISTICS OF SELECTED PLASTICS
The ASCE Task Committee on Properties of Selected Structural Plastics and Systems progress report contains topics of general interest in plastics. The progress and state of the art in fatigue for selected plastics that have potential structural application is demonstrated. Factors influencing fatigue phenomena are discussed. The data presented reflects the problems associated with the topic and can be considered only qualitative. It is stressed that environmental conditions are much more important in structural plastics than metals.
